Today we speak to NrKlaW from Belgium. He digs into his art and what he's like to see from 2077 and the community going forward, take a read and feel free to comment below;

First can you tell us a little about yourself, where you grew up and what attracted or inspired you to get into this art form?
I introduce myself, NrKlaW, i come from a small country called Belgium, i have always liked to take screens during cinematics on different games, when the environment allowed, i started the Cyberpunk adventure in December 2022 and I looked more seriously at the subject in early January 2023.

How did you learn this form of digital art?
I learned on the job by myself, as said just before, as soon as the environment allowed me, i took the opportunity to take different shots, even if at first it was more for myself, but later, i started to share them with my Cyberpunk period, i obviously received a lot of support and advice from several people, but more particularly of a person whom i consider a friend at the present time by the name of Grindera, he helped me a lot and advised me on what i could improve and it helped me improve on a daily basis.

What drew you to the cyberpunk genre?
Regarding the game, what attracted me a lot is its futuristic universe, the aspect that humans have of imagining a limitless universe where everything can be possible, a bit like a free universe. i think the Cyberpunk genre has belonged to something new and iconic, whether in movies or otherwise.

What in your view is the best aspect of the cyberpunk genre CDPR got right with 2077 and what do you feel they missed the mark on?
For me the positive aspect of the game is its diversity, everyone is free to choose their path to evolve through Night-City and especially the way to do it, the choice of different classes of characters is an asset to rate it evolving, the point a little more negative for me, i find that outside the missions, it lacks a bit of interaction with the other characters in the game, when you finish a game with a secondary character, it is sometimes quite limited.

What message, to you, does the cyberpunk genre imply or relay as a viewer, fan?
For me it clearly shows a world in distress and in agony, or equity is still not respected, or only the great powers manage to survive in good conditions, we are still proven the injustice that reigns even in a universe highlighting a utopian city, but when I play, I tell myself that it is not so different from real life in some aspects.

What photo/GFX tools that are not in 2077 would you like to see in the sequel Project Orion?
Honestly, i can't answer this question, for me the Cyberpunk universe is still quite vast, so i can't say for now.

What drew you to the 2077 game specifically? What keeps driving you to keep making content for it?
The side of diversity in the path to take, in the meetings that can be made, the different romances, i would say that what really attracted me the most is the futuristic and evolutionary side.

What about the 2077 characters specifically got your interest? All time favorite NPC in 2077 and why?
The emotions that some can transmit through the game, several times I found myself wondering if I had not taken the place of my characters for some minutes, because the immersion with people is really well worked.

If you have to pick one, team Judy or Kerry? Why?
Team Judy 1 000 000 % haha, because she is the one who makes me go through the most emotions through the game, i find that the character of Judy is for me the most work, and she is not afraid to show emotions, i really had a feeling throughout the game by interacting with her, and that's what allows me to say that she is my favorite character of the game.

If you have to pick one, team Panam or River? Why?
Team Panam obviously, say i didn't hang with River. Why Panam? Thanks to her rebellious side, to which I recognize myself, she does a little what she wants, and is not cold in the eyes to help her family and friends.

What tools do you use to make your art? How long does it take to go from idea to posting a pic? What's the process?
In terms of time, it depends on the moment i want to capture, knowing that I only use the photo mode for framing, i do not use third-party software, the only addons i use are the mods made available to the community, mainly for the lighting or style of my characters, often i don't publish directly after the photo, i can take 3/4 shot in a row, but publish them throughout the day, i will say that depending on the theme or the shot, i take about between 30 minutes and 2 hours, it depends on what i want to produce, most often as soon as i have an idea I do it directly.

How long have you been doing this art form?
Since the first games where i started to do it, i can no longer tell you ecstaticly, but it's been + 5 years, and on Cyberpunk, since January 2023.

What are your thoughts about AI art, cyberpunk or otherwise? Is it really 'art' in your view or just several 'stolen' images mushed together? What is your take?
The implementation of AI has really taken a place on the market in recent years, we see it everywhere, but for me it is not my style and it is not up to the talent of the human being in this field, because for me there is a lack of naturalness to the different shots that we have been found, for me the artistic side of each far surpasses the AI. How i was talking about it with a person the other day by the name of Rosslin, the natural side is the best, and i would even say that it is the most pleasant, whether it is done even has the game or edit later, but while respecting the basic image of the game, the natural side of the image in a way.

Where do you see the virtual photo art form 5 years from now? Will we be able to easily tell it from actual photos by then and if not does that concern you?
I think that in 5 years or even 10 years, or 50 years, there will always be pationné who will highlight their works and who will continue to show that everyone can achieve magnificent things with sometimes not much. What bothers me about it is that AIs are taking up more and more space, and this may discourage some in the future, but I'm sure we will continue to see all his work created by the video game community.

What trends in the VP space do you foresee becoming big in the field? What trends, aspects of VP do you hope gets left behind in the past?
I don't really have any expectations about my future or my past in virtual art creation, for me I do it primarily out of passion and I don't do it for popularity, it makes me happy to do it day by day, and I focus mainly on my evolution. It already makes me very happy that my shots are appreciated and that I have feedback on some, it touches me to see such a nice digital art community that supports creators.

What has been your most positive experience in the 2077 community and on the flip side what has been your most negative?
The positive side is that people are mainly nice and ready to help and advise for your good evolution, as said earlier, I was lucky to meet a person who supported me enormously on many of my current projects, and who continues to support me. The slightly more negative side is that there will always be people to criticize or jealous, unfortunately there will always be.

Fav couple (not necessarily official couple) you have done or would like to do VP for and why?
Mainly V and Judy, I don't know what more to say than what I said about her above, she is really perfect from an emotional point of view and immersion. Otherwise with another of my characters, V (Other one) and Rita Wheeler, for her rebellious side and not the type to let himself be stepped on.

Do you think these are skills you'd like to make a career of on some level or you prefer it as a hobby?
It's mainly a hobby, as I said, I don't do this for popularity, I like to create and share my content, whether it's my different shots or even the story of my characters.

I've seen a lot of memes from artists that imply if you do vanilla art you will hardly get any notice, but if you do spicy art you'll get tons of attention. Do you feel those memes are accurate for better or worse? What are your thoughts on that?
This is quite true unfortunately, but I think that everyone can be highlighted whether they make vanilla art or spicy art, because everyone, every creator deserves to be highlighted.

Fav 3 mods (not VP specific mods) you use in the game and why do they make this list?
1) AMM : This mod helps enormously whether for placement, or even the creation of environment but also for the realization of scenario with its set of tools available.
2) Equipment-EX : For the possibility of combining several garments with each other, and being able to create even more complete outfits.
3) I will say all the aesthetic, cosmetic and other mods to customize your character 100% as you wish.

And my most controversial question... Which of the following labels would you assign to whom (one use each)? ;)
Marry, BFF, FWB(friend with benefits), Close Friend, Casual Friend, Indifferent, Dislike, Hate, Mortal Enemy, Kill

Hard to add only one character per word haha

Evelyn : Casual friend
Goro : Casual friend
Jackie : BFF
Johnny : Close friend
Judy : Marry
Kerry : Indifferent
Lizzy : Dislike
Meredith : FWB
Panam : BFF
River : Dislike

For readers, I will tell to all of us, do not take the criticism, jealousy or mockery of some as weakness in what you do, take them as a strength, a force that helps you and pushes you to persevere and prove that you love what you do, it must please you in the first place. I will tell the reader, do not take the criticism, jealousy or mockery of some as weakness in what you do, take them as a strength, a force that helps you and pushes you to persevere and prove that you love what you do, it must please you in the first place.
