GameRant posted an article about some data mined information in the latest 2077 build. And it implies there may be more Edgerunners anime content in the upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion. Here is a snip;

However, it seems that CDPR isn't done with Edgerunners just yet. A Cyberpunk 2077 fan by the Reddit nickname of Acrobatic_Internal_2 discovered an unfinished quest log referencing some names and organizations from the acclaimed anime. Specifically, the "%DLC_MAIN% : CASINO WARFARE" entry, which tasks the player with calling Falco, a major character from the anime, as well as watching a BD from NightCorp. The quest log also references the legendary Netrunner Alt Cunningham, who would presumably be making an appearance as well.

While there have already been discussions of Cyberpunk 2077's inevitable sequel, it's obvious that CD Projekt Red still has big plans for its first major foray into science fiction. There's no telling whether the discovery made by Acrobatic_Internal_2 is an actual upcoming questline, a secret WIP entry added by an unlikely mod, or just a leaked batch of unfinished content, but leveraging Edgerunners once again could certainly pay off once the DLC comes out.
