As promised on our Twitter feed here is our breakdown and what we caught in the new Phantom Liberty teaser trailer.

0:07 - A NUSA (Presidential?) transport, clearly a transport of someone of note due to all the markings on it. With NUSA troopers swarming in has the making of a recuse operation which adds to what we see later on. Rescue whom you may ask, well the President of the NUSA is my guess.
0:15 - Inside the crashed transport we see a display that says "Emergency Lifepod Launched" which leads me to believe the President was ambushed, used the pod to escape and that's how you get wrapped up in all of this. As a merc you're hired to track her down and when you do she enlists you to help take out her ambushers who are still pursuing her. You end up in a 'Escape from New York' type of story. Granted that is just my guess at this point.
0:20 - Johnny talks about 'taking a bullet for empty promises'. Again going back and supporting my theory above. The President probably offers you a way out of your Relic situation if you help her.
0:25 - New bar, location
0:28 - Now this place is VERY interesting. The rumor has been they are expanding the Pacifica area but even that looks WAY too different from the rest of that area. Nothing like a half built, crumbling resort beach. Which leads me to believe a chunk of the mission takes place somewhere outside of Night City. Then again it could be the arena that is currently closed off in Pacifica and that is a crashed air transport in the middle of it giving it a far more ruined look.
0:38 - The introduction of Idris Elba, who plays a NUSA federal agent, an agent the President feels can help her out of this situation she finds herself in it seems.
0:41 - The NUSA President, which by her look, feeds into my hypothesis she is on the run, underground hence her unkempt look.
0:48 - I am going to call it, this mask implants the other engram onto your biochip and this is how you end up with the rumored "Songbird" interface that, most likely, drives most of the story. I am going to speculate Silverhand is actually only in the beginning and end of the expansion. This engram takes up the majority of it as she temporarily overwrites or suppresses him.
0:53 Mentions "Dogtown" which may be the place we saw at 0:28. That said, this chase scene does not look like any place in the current game. Which goes back to part of me thinking some of this story takes place outside Night City.
0:54 - Car combat! Now is this combat JUST scripted for this part of the expansion like the combat was when you finished rescuing Dorset in the first mission of the game or is this hinting this expansion will add it to the game proper? Time will tell.
0:58 - MaxTac on the scene. We'll have to see if they are friend or foe.
