I posted a Tweet last night eluding to this but seems this is just picking up steam in the community, not dying down. Seems several other game communities such as No Mans Sky is taking serious offense to 2077 winning the Steam Labor of Love award. Such offense they are now review bombing it on Steam as you can see from the screen cap below;

Reddit is fairly active about this situation as is Twitter. And now PC Gamer has posted a article about the temper tantrum these keyboard warriors are throwing. Here is a snip;
It's not a review-bombing in the classic sense. While there was a decided uptick in negative reviews since the Steam Award winners were announced—193 in total so far—by all appearances it's a handful of fans expressing their frustration with the ongoing state of things, rather than a coordinated effort to cause grief for one reason or another. And there were still far more positive reviews posted over the same two days: 836 in all.
In fact, that ratio isn't too far off the user reviews posted in December 2020, when Cyberpunk 2077 first launched and was in its most dire state: More than 63,000 negative reviews, which is an absolutely wild number but still not much more than a quarter of the 227,000 positive reviews posted in the same period.
Now listen, as I said in my initial Tweet, if your game up for contention such as NMS, Project Zomboid or otherwise, was THAT important to you, the time to get passionate was BEFORE voting ended, NOT after. If you don't like the winner then you know whose fault that is? Hot tip, take a look in the mirror. That's who. Should have voted or/and got others to vote as well for your preferred game. But you didn't. So... as a great man once said "Shut the fuck up and get over it."
Wise words. And this is why the gaming community as a whole gets the reputations it does. By childish actions like this. Comment below with your thoughts.
