I am not sure if this news is "huge" but it is interesting. To sum up the recent Project Orion news, he talks about how ~60 folks are working on it in pre-production, they stated like 2077 it will be first person mostly, and they are hiring developers to make the most "reactive" crowd system of any game to date. For the full deets take a watch;

In a Bloomberg article about Phantom Liberty CDPR Game Director Gabe Amatangelo gave a little blurb about his role after the expansion ships;
Also a little scoop in here: Amatangelo, who started in 2020 and became director of Phantom Liberty a year later, told me that after this he will direct the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077.

Over on the
CDPR hiring page they now have listed a handful of jobs for the Boston office. They don't have many and just accepting general applications currently but it shows they are starting to rev the studio up. As you may recall this is their studio dedication to Project Orion aka Cyberpunk 2.

On his latest stream Lead 2077 quest designer Paweł Sasko had some words about his goal with Project Orion aka Cyberpunk 2. In general he stated he wants to make a game all of CDPR will be "proud" of when released. In a way eluding to continuing the redemption arc that started a few months after the troubled release of 2077. Here is the clip thanks to Open World Games;

As we already reported on a few days back, GameRant
posted a article about how pre-production work on Project Orion (Cyberpunk 2) won't start until next year. Which fit into what Paweł Sasko said in
our previous reporting. That he would not move to Boston until Phantom Liberty ships which we know is next year, probably Q1 is the current guess by the community. Thus if he as the lead in the Boston studio isn't moving until then, no real working on CP2 is going to get done logically speaking. So nothing that we already didn't know but nice confirmation none the less, here is a ship;
Piotr Nielubowicz, the CFO at CD Projekt Red, said during a recent financial call that the company is looking to speed up the development of Project Orion after the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. To add more clarity, the CEO Adam Kiciński stated that they have not yet begun pre-production of Project Orion and that it's slated to enter the research phase in 2023. Adam also mentioned that the research will be undertaken by a limited team in order to allow other members to join The Witcher 4 project.

CDPR released their break down of what the company is working on that you can see below. Phantom Liberty has had the most staff of CDPR since last December as the core CP 2077 staff continues to contract as the base game needs less and less attention as most all critical issues are patched up and all versions are in good shape. Interesting that the 2nd biggest group of people was working on Project Polaris aka Witcher 4. I would surmise some of the "other projects" is the pre-production for Project Orion.
On yesterdays Twitch stream Lead Quest Designer Paweł Sasko stated while he was in Boston for about a week scouting apartments and doing some preliminary work on the new Boston studio he and the majority of the team will not relocate until the expansion for 2077, Phantom Liberty, ships. So I wouldn't expect to really see this chart list Project Orion in detail until after that happens. You can see the chart below;

Gamespot
has the latest deets on the main 2077 team moving to Boston, MA (in my backyard!) to open up a new studio to work on Project Orion aka Cyberpunk 2. Nothing really new but a nice summary of the latest happenings over the past month. Here is a snip;
CD Projekt revealed an ambitious strategy this week to focus on multiple AAA game projects, and in addition to a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, several Witcher games and a brand-new IP are in various stages of development.
Project Orion, the working title for the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, will "prove the full power and potential of the Cyberpunk universe" according to CD Projekt when it's eventually released. Before it arrives though, Cyberpunk 2077's Phantom Liberty expansion in 2023 will drop players into a new district in Night City and tackle an adventure that has been described as a spy-thriller.
